Heavy snow and icy conditions are expected in places across Sverdlovsk Oblast on the night of November 16, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported.
Earlier, meteorologists from the Ural Hydrometeorological Center said that a cyclone has arrived in the Urals bringing warmth, but a temporary cooling is expected on Sunday. Their forecast is corroborated by the outlook for the coming week from independent forecaster Alexey Pulin.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of possible complications to road conditions. "Be vigilant!" officials warn residents of the region. In case of an incident, call 101 or 112.
Recommendations for drivers are as follows: observe speed limits and maintain distance, avoid sudden maneuvers, and limit long trips. If you are caught in a snowfall, move into the right lane, turn on your hazard lights, and wait it out.
Pedestrians: walk carefully, avoid unstable structures and houses with insecure roofs, beware of downed wires, broken glass, and other hazards.
