25 November 2025. A fire that claimed the lives of two people occurred in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region reported.
The blaze started in an apartment on the second floor of a five-story residential building on Ogneuporshchikov Street. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 22 minutes. "Two people were found dead during the firefighting," the agency said.
According to the daily report of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire while smoking.
