Schoolchildren in Yekaterinburg have been moved to distance learning.
From Monday, November 24, students of Krasnoles School No. 181 have fully switched to remote learning. The corresponding order was signed by the school's director. The remote format has been introduced for all grades — from 1st through 11th, the mayor's office press service told KP‑Ekaterinburg.
The decision was based on a directive from Rospotrebnadzor. Sanitary specialists recommended additional anti-epidemic measures in certain districts of Yekaterinburg. This is necessary to separate students and halt the further spread of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).
The mayor's office clarified that in-person instruction is suspended through December 1 inclusive. For the entire current week students will have classes from home, which should reduce the risk of infection and help eliminate the sources of infection.
