In Yekaterinburg, they decided to revive the "Old New Rock" festival.
The legendary festival "Old New Rock", which ceased its activities in 2020, has announced its revival as a special project of the international music festival Ural Music Night.
The iconic event, dedicated to celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Rock Club, will take place on January 11 at the Yeltsin Center, the press service of the "Old New Rock" festival reports.
"The festival, which has existed since January 13, 2000, is returning to once again bring together on one stage the leading names of Russian rock and the brightest young bands," the press service said.
The festival is opening applications from young bands. It will be open until December 20. Applications can be submitted via the link.
Following tradition, the expert council will include Chaif's leader Vladimir Shakhrin, the frontman of the band TOP and director of the "Old New Rock" festival Evgeny Gorenburg, and other experts.
The best bands that pass the selection will have the opportunity to perform on the rock stage of the "Night of Music".
