The warrant officer of the FSIN in Zauralye who smuggled drugs into a penal colony was dismissed "for breach of contract."
In Kurgan Oblast the local Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) dismissed an employee who had smuggled prohibited substances into a colony. The prosecutor’s office, through the courts, succeeded in getting the wording of the reasons for the dismissal changed, writes URA.RU.
Sources close to the security forces told URA.RU that the warrant officer was caught at the IK-2 colony of the FSIN in Kurgan Oblast while bringing prohibited substances to an inmate.
The warrant officer was supervising the cell at IK-2 used as a pretrial detention room. For payment he brought the inmate nasvay, snus and anabolic steroids, writes URA.RU.
After that the employee was dismissed — but not in connection with the commission of a corruption-related crime, rather for identified violations of the terms of his contract.
The prosecutor’s office of the Ketovsky District of Kurgan Oblast disagreed with that stated reason for the dismissal and filed a suit in court demanding a change in the wording.
“The court ruled to change the wording to ‘in connection with loss of trust,’” URA.RU sources said.
It is reported that the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over the incident. The former supervisor is accused of exceeding his authority, including for personal gain, as well as petty bribery, the publication notes.
