Temporary traffic restrictions have been imposed at the 29th kilometer of the Serov Trakt in Verkhnepyshminsky District due to a truck fire, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region reported on Tuesday.
At present, traffic police officers and emergency services are working at the scene; all necessary measures are being taken to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of road users.
For the duration of the work, traffic is being routed into the oncoming lane; inspectors are regulating the flow.
TASS notes that measures have been taken to prevent the threat of an explosion. The regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told TASS that the fire was contained to an area of 8 square meters and that there have been no reports of injuries.
