A "legendary" cafe is being demolished in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, the forced demolition of the city’s well‑known café "Caspian" has begun; for many years it had served as a meeting place, including for members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
The dismantling of the structure on Proezhaya Street is being carried out by a contractor at the decision of the mayor’s office, and work is planned to continue on holidays as well. This was reported by public figure Dmitry Chukreev on his social media.
According to him, city authorities are continuing to remove illegal structures. The next object was "Caspian" — a café that had gained notorious fame. The contractor has already begun dismantling: workers started to take apart the building’s facade, remove doors and windows, with the immediate task being the complete clearing of the frontage.
In addition, Dmitry Chukreev showed what the abandoned café looked like inside. Inside there was a spacious hall with chandeliers and stucco decoration, as well as a kitchen with remnants of equipment, a barbecue area and dishes that had been stored in unsanitary conditions.
