In Chelyabinsk, officers of the regional UFSB detained the deputy head of internal security, Colonel of the regional police Maxim Blinnikov, on charges of receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount.

Blinnikov was dismissed from the Russian Interior Ministry on December 24, a source told the Ura.Ru agency.
According to an insider, from 2023 to 2025 Blinnikov repeatedly received bribes from a representative of a commercial organization in exchange for general protection of its activities. The regional office of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on a charge of “receiving a bribe.”
