An accountant in Yekaterinburg was convicted for "kickbacks" on the supply of vegetables to kindergartens.
The Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Yekaterinburg sentenced the former head of the branch of the Centralized Accounting Office for Educational Institutions, Ekaterina Klimova, to 3 years and 7 months in a general‑regime penal colony for taking bribes. This was reported by the press service of the Sverdlovsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
According to court documents, in 2023 she received bribes totaling 830,000 rubles for “helping” two organizations secure a contract to supply vegetables to kindergartens in the Ordzhonikidzevsky District. Each month Klimova received from the businessmen bribes equal to 5% of the value of the vegetables supplied.
Earlier it was reported that in the Urals FSB officers detained a deputy head of internal security on bribery charges.
