"On January 8, heavy snow is expected in places in Sverdlovsk Oblast," the rescuers warned.
Residents of Sverdlovsk were advised to be careful when driving, to observe speed limits and keep a safe distance, and to avoid sudden maneuvers. Pedestrians should also be more cautious.
"If you need to make a trip out of town, put a shovel, a tow rope, an axe, a charged phone and season-appropriate clothing in the car; don't forget a thermos of hot tea."
