"They knew what they were getting into": Tagil's "Snegurochkas" shamed on social media for "openness"
On the region's social networks, the act featuring Snow Maidens from Nizhny Tagil caused a stir, as their outfits and dance moves seemed somewhat indecent to some viewers, the "Fourth Channel" reports on Telegram.
The MDT studio's New Year's dance show took place on the stage of the City Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity in Nizhny Tagil back in December. And although the entire event had an 18+ age restriction, the act with the "Snow Maidens," set to the music of the famous Christmas song "Jingle Bells," seemed too explicit even for adults.
After the unflattering comments, one of the dancers explained that the boldness of the stage image was the point of the routine. "Without vulgarity, without crossing boundaries, with respect for the stage and the audience," said the "Snow Maiden."
One of the evening's organizers also came to the girls' defense, saying the show originally had an age restriction. "It's a dance studio concert; people knew what they were walking into. I can't comment further," he told the "Fourth Channel."
