Recruitment of cadets is planned to be resumed at the Chelyabinsk Higher Tank Command School, the Ulyanovsk Higher Military Aviation School and the Novocherkassk Higher Military Communications School, RBC reports, citing Izvestia.
The Chelyabinsk Tank School will resume its activities after a 19-year hiatus.
Overall, the program launched by the Ministry of Defense in 2025 plans to revive 15 educational institutions by 2034.
The main objectives of the reform are to strengthen the engineering corps, train specialists for unmanned systems forces, and make up for the acute shortage of mid-level officers for new formations.
