A resident of Sverdlovsk was refunded half a million that was deducted by the bailiffs.
In Yekaterinburg, the court sided with a 61-year-old pensioner whose debt of nearly half a million rubles, already paid off, was mistakenly deducted again by the bailiffs.
As reported by the Kirov District Court, the woman, along with her husband, took out a loan from the bank. After the debt arose, it was collected through a court order, and the family paid it off completely. However, a few months later, another organization—the bank's successor—sent the same court order to the bailiffs again.
Based on this document, the pensioner was again charged 493 thousand rubles, as well as 34 thousand rubles in enforcement fees. The money was deducted from a payment the parents received after the death of their son, a participant in the special military operation.
Later, during the proceedings, the mistakenly deducted funds were returned to the woman, and she waived part of her claims. Nevertheless, the court recognized that the actions of the bailiffs caused her moral harm.
As a result, the Federal Bailiff Service was ordered to pay compensation to the pensioner—40 thousand rubles.
