A private school will open in Yekaterinburg in the Literary Quarter.
The project for a private school in a cultural heritage site in Yekaterinburg has received a positive conclusion from the expert examination. It concerns the house of factory owner Zlokazov located at 3 Proletarskaya Street in the Literary Quarter.
Previously, media reported that a private primary school with a state license would be established in the mansion, writes the EAN agency.
The positive conclusion from the expert examination conducted in Omsk states that the restoration and adaptation project for the building for modern use poses no threat to the monument itself or to other nearby cultural heritage sites in the Literary Quarter.
The project envisions the establishment of a full-fledged school within the building. The basement will house a food block, wardrobes, technical and service rooms, a book storage area, and meeting rooms. The first and second floors will accommodate classrooms, an administrative block, a medical office, and a cafeteria. The building will be equipped with a ramp, and the entrance will be designed with consideration for its historical appearance.
For the past two years, the restoration of the house has been carried out by the company "Brusnika." The company has committed to restoring the historical appearance of the monument. The building was obtained by the developer through a concession agreement with the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, concluded in 2020.
The launch of the school in the building, which is about 140 years old, is overseen by the former head of the Yekaterinburg Department of Education, Ekaterina Sibirtseva, reports EAN.
