In Yekaterinburg, the production of components for drones has begun.
The Ural manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems is starting to create production for import-substituting components, the information policy department of the Sverdlovsk region reported on Thursday.
The company "Newlink" is beginning the creation of domestic servo drive production with government support. Production facilities will appear in Yekaterinburg in 2027.
The Sverdlovsk region Investment Attraction Agency will handle the selection of the site.
Investments in the project will amount to about 600 million rubles. 46 new jobs will be created.
The company's product line includes many models of its own design, and the production of onboard and ground radio-electronic equipment has been established.
Previously, the Ural manufacturer of unmanned systems won a grant from the NTI Fund (Skolkovo) in the amount of 300 million rubles for organizing large-scale production of domestic components for the needs of the civil aviation industry.
"The localization of servo drive production will allow the enterprise to ensure technological sovereignty in this critically important component. These products will be used in unmanned aviation for precise control of position, speed, and force of mechanisms," said Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region.
