A woman from Yekaterinburg has died after falling into a coma in Thailand.
A resident of Yekaterinburg, Ekaterina Panova, has passed away after being transported by plane from Thailand to Russia in a coma following the removal of a wisdom tooth at a local clinic under insurance. After the girl was transported to Moscow, it became clear that her body was severely depleted.
The plane delivered the patient from Chonburi to Moscow on March 23. The flight was successful, but four days later, on the night of March 27, Ekaterina passed away.
An autopsy has already been performed, but the cause of death could not be determined, her younger sister Alena told "KP-Yekaterinburg."
— In her Thai medical record, it was written that food and water had been stopped since March 18. While we were flying to Moscow, Russian specialists were feeding her intravenously, — she said. — Already in Moscow, my sister's heart stopped twice, and on the third time, they could not resuscitate her.
The farewell to the deceased took place in Crimea. Part of her ashes will be delivered to her homeland in Minusinsk, and part will be scattered over the Black Sea. Ekaterina was 29 years old. She lived in the Ural capital for 10 of those years.
She ended up in a wheelchair at the age of 15 after a car accident, "KP-Yekaterinburg" reports. In the last year, the girl lived in Crimea and worked as a seamstress.
