In the Sverdlovsk region, preparations for the spring flood continue: specialists are clearing the riverbeds of snow and ice and monitoring the water level.
In the Baykalovsky district, the water level of the Nitsa River has risen by 27 cm in a day. As a result, the bridges near the villages of Yelany and Gorodishche are temporarily closed, and access to the villages of Yar, Borovikova, and Krasny Bor is restricted.
In the Talitsky district, the Pyshma River has risen by 43 cm, but the levels remain within the norm and significantly below dangerous marks.
In Nizhny Tagil, in the village of Baronskaya, about 3 km of ice has been cut on the Mezhevaya Utka River near the bridge for safe water passage. In Severouralsk, 220 meters of ice have already been cut on the Vagrant River during the work.
Since the beginning of anti-flood measures in the region, more than 7.2 km of ice have been cut, and over 1.2 tons of explosives have been used. The situation is under constant control, and all services are operating in readiness mode.
