Avito: Interest in lots related to space exploration in Yekaterinburg has increased sixfold over the past year (PHOTO)
In Yekaterinburg, interest in space-themed items has noticeably increased over the past year—from stamps and books to collectible figurines and rocket models. This was reported by the press service of Avito.
Thus, in March 2026, when Russia celebrates 65 years since the first human flight into space, sales of stamps dedicated to the space theme have increased sixfold compared to March 2025. Buyers most often choose retro releases—such series are valued for their aesthetics and connection to history. Stamps featuring rockets and astronauts from the 60s and 70s cost about 40 rubles each, according to the Avito report.
Sales of books on space topics in Yekaterinburg have increased by 22% over the year. Both modern publications and vintage Soviet editions are popular. In particular, a user from Yekaterinburg is selling an encyclopedia by P.A. Syunyaev about space and the solar system, published in 1986, for 700 rubles.
Collectible models, figurines, and toys with space themes are widely available. Their sales in Yekaterinburg have tripled over the year. Such items are increasingly purchased not as toys but as interior decor—for desks, shelves, or collections.
The platform also features many other products in the form of rockets, planets, and other elements of space themes. For example, a night lamp in the shape of the "Soyuz FG" rocket costs 3,000 rubles. Any other rocket model can be ordered, as noted in the release text.
Avito advises to carefully check the condition of the lots. For instance, the value of stamps is significantly reduced by bends and scuffs. For purchasing a collectible item (figurine or statuette), small chips and missing elements are critical, often unnoticed in photos.
