For seven subordinates of the "amnestied" former head of the State Property Management Agency of the Sverdlovsk Region, Pyankov, long sentences were requested
April 12, 2026 The prosecution requested lengthy prison sentences—from 7 to 17 years—for former subordinates of the ex-minister of state property management of the Sverdlovsk region, Alexey Pyankov. This was reported by 66.RU.
Seven defendants, six of whom are women, are accused of embezzlement, abuse of power, and bribery. The prosecutor explained that their participation in a criminal group was an aggravating circumstance. There were a total of nine colleagues of Pyankov in the case, but the former head of the operational directorate of the State Property Management Agency, Karina Gornostaeva, will avoid punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, and the director of the "Kan Group," Alexander Kan, did not live to see the verdict.
During the debates, the prosecutor asked the Kirov District Court of Yekaterinburg to sentence:
Konstantin Nikanorov, former deputy of Pyankov—to 17 years in a strict regime and a fine of 80 million rubles;
Elena Nikolaeva, former first deputy of Pyankov—to 10 years in a general regime;
Olga Nevskaya and Anna Emishyan, heads of companies related to the case—to 10 and 9 years in a general regime respectively, as well as a fine of 500 thousand rubles each;
Oksana Kasparova and Natalia Kim, heads of companies related to the case—to 10 and 7 years in a general regime respectively;
Ekaterina Grebenshchikova, a lawyer—to 7 years in a general regime.
The prosecutor also requested the court to recover from each of the defendants the damage caused by their corrupt actions to the budget of the Sverdlovsk region, totaling 146.8 million rubles.
None of the defendants admitted guilt.
The former head of the State Property Management Agency, Alexey Pyankov, avoided punishment, as reported by 66.RU—due to state awards received during the special military operation. Among them is the Order of Courage, two sources close to the investigation told 66.RU. Pyankov served in the headquarters in Rostov-on-Don, a third source reported to 66.RU.
The criminal case against Pyankov himself was closed. The former head of the State Property Management Agency claimed that it was fabricated and that Nikanorov had framed him out of personal animosity.
In Orenburg, at the same time, the prosecution requested a lengthy prison sentence for another former deputy of Pyankov, Alexander Sambursky, accused of receiving bribes.
