The head of the medical commission of the regional military enlistment office has been arrested on charges of bribery in Yekaterinburg.
The Sverdlovsk Regional Court has kept in custody the former chairman of the military medical commission of the regional military enlistment office, who was arrested two weeks ago on charges of receiving a bribe. This was reported by the unified press service of the courts of the Sverdlovsk region.
The former chairman of the military medical commission of the regional military enlistment office, Vladimir Nakonechny, is accused by the preliminary investigation authorities under paragraph "a" of part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe by an official through an intermediary in the form of money for illegal inaction, as part of a group of persons by prior agreement).
The investigator's petition for the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention for Vladimir Nakonechny was granted by the Railway District Court of Yekaterinburg on April 11, 2026.
The defendant's lawyer filed an appeal with the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, requesting the court's first-instance ruling to be overturned and a ban on certain actions regarding the defendant at his place of registration and permanent residence to be imposed.
The appellate court, having reviewed the case materials and heard the arguments of the parties, left the ruling of the Railway District Court unchanged. Vladimir Nakonechny will remain in custody until June 9.
