      Thirteen SIM cards were sent to a convict in the Nizhny Tagil colony IK-46 in a warm letter, reports the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region.

      Items prohibited for acquisition, storage, and use by convicts were discovered and seized in IK-46 (Nizhny Tagil) on Thursday, April 24, by an employee of the operational department during the inspection of a letter from a citizen T., residing in the Krasnoyarsk region.

      The envelope contained 13 SIM cards from mobile operators and 1 flash drive, cleverly hidden (on the back of stickers attached to the postcard).

      The letter was addressed to A., convicted under part 4 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the accidental death of the victim - note Uralweb.ru).

      Relevant documents have been drawn up regarding this fact, and an investigation is underway.
