Pasler will provide legal assistance to the Orenburg resident arrested after the incident on May Day.
The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler, instructed to provide legal assistance to Orenburg resident Serik Taspakov, who unexpectedly ran up to him during a photo session with people at the May Day event.
"Yesterday, during the May Day celebration, an incident occurred that sparked many versions of what happened. In reality, it was an ordinary human factor: a resident of Orenburg, not taking into account the heightened security measures at a mass event, emotionally demonstrated a desire to communicate, which immediately attracted attention and therefore he was detained while trying to approach," wrote the head of the Sverdlovsk region on his channel in MAX.
"Maintaining public order in places of mass gatherings is necessary, especially under current conditions. However, I know for sure that he did not intend to cause harm. I instructed to provide the man with the necessary legal support."
Earlier, the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg arrested Orenburg resident Serik Taspakov for 14 days.
Before heading the Sverdlovsk region, Denis Pasler was the governor of Orenburg.
It should also be noted that under similar circumstances, the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis, was seriously injured in 2024.
