The State Traffic Inspectorate of Yekaterinburg summarized the results of the preventive measure "Stop-Control," which took place from May 1 to May 4.
During the event, the traffic police identified and stopped more than 50 violations:
21 drivers were found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (charged under part 1 of article 12.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation);
28 drivers were operating a vehicle without a driver's license (charged under part 1 of article 12.7 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation);
1 driver was deprived of the right to operate vehicles (charged under part 2 of article 12.7 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation);
1 case involved the transfer of vehicle control to a person who was under the influence of alcohol (the offender was charged under part 2 of article 12.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation);
4 motorists refused to undergo a medical examination (held accountable under part 1 of article 12.26 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation);
Criminal cases have been initiated against 3 drivers under article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for repeated driving under the influence.
