May 14, 2026 A resident of the Sverdlovsk region donated 101,000 rubles as part of a public fundraising campaign for the construction of an inclusive entrance to the ruined federal heritage site—the ancient factory in Sysert, where the creative cluster "At the Factory" operates.

A Ural resident named Ilya not only participated in the fundraising but also inscribed his name in history—now a one-meter section of the new entrance will be named after him, reports the Sysert Development Agency.

"I know the project team that is developing our beloved Sysert. I live in the Sysert urban district, and I really like how Sysert is transforming. When such passionate people develop and improve the environment, it then attracts development in other sectors," explained the donor his decision. "My support is small—it's a thank you to the team for developing both our little district and the entire region as a whole."

Those who donate less than 100,000 rubles can also inscribe themselves in history, noted the Agency. The funds, we remind you, are being raised for a staircase with a ramp leading to the Factory.

The Turchaninov-Solomirsky Ironworks in Sysert was built in 1732, marking the beginning of the city itself. In the years following the collapse of the USSR, the factory became abandoned and turned into ruins.

Since 2020, the Sysert Development Agency has been holding the "Summer at the Factory" festival there every summer: concerts are held in its workshops, performances are shown, lectures are read, master classes are conducted, and carnivals are organized. This year, the summer festival will take place for the seventh time.

The complete restoration of the Factory is estimated to cost several billion rubles, so the Agency decided to act in stages. For now, the building is preserved in its current state and protected from destruction.
