With the help of journalists, the police were able to find a woman who became a victim of scammers but had not reported to the police. After the story about the victim, an unknown woman in a blue mink coat was published in regional media, a resident of Sverdlovsk wrote a statement to the police.
As reported by the official representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, Valery Gorelykh, the victim of the scammers was a 59-year-old woman from Yekaterinburg. She had previously worked at Koltsovo Airport, he told "KP-Yekaterinburg."
The woman handed over more than two million rubles in savings to the scammers' courier. However, she only contacted the police after learning that the courier who took her money had been arrested and that she was being sought as a victim.
