Russia simplifies the arrival of Pakistani citizens to the country.
Russia and Pakistan have agreed to simplify the visa regime. This was stated in an interview with TASS on May 12 by the Pakistani ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niyaz Tirmizi.
The corresponding agreement will be signed during the upcoming visit to Moscow by the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic, Shahbaz Sharif.
The diplomat noted that, in addition to this, the parties will sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, as well as an agreement on trade and economic cooperation for the next five years.
"We will sign agreements on Russian investments in the medical sector and in the industrial sector of Pakistan," the ambassador continued. "We have also already begun negotiations on joining the Eurasian Economic Union within the framework of a free trade agreement."
At the end of 2024, it was reported that Russia is ready to simplify the entry procedure for Pakistani citizens into Russia after signing an intergovernmental agreement on readmission.
