The Sverdlovsk region's REC reported how much utility services will increase in price starting from October 1.
The Regional Energy Commission (REC) of the Sverdlovsk region has published a document outlining how much the tariffs for housing and communal services will be indexed for specific municipalities. The nearest indexing is scheduled for October 1 of this year, writes v-tagile.ru.
According to the document titled "Visual Material on the Formation of Tariffs for Communal Services for the Population for 2026," the maximum increase in the total payment for communal services for most municipalities in the Sverdlovsk region will be 9.7% starting in October.
However, for three of them, higher maximum indices have been established, agreed upon with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), reports v-tagile.ru.
Thus, in Krasnouralsk, the increase in the total payment for housing and communal services may reach 15.32%, in Reftinsky - 20%, and in Yekaterinburg - 12.9%.
As explained by the REC, the increased indexing of tariffs is related to the implementation of investment projects in the housing and communal services sector, and in Yekaterinburg, it is also due to the transition to a new pricing zone for heat supply.
For citizens whose expenses on housing and communal services exceed the established norm (12% of income for those whose income is below the subsistence minimum, and 22% for others), targeted subsidies continue to apply.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Economic Development has planned an increase in housing and communal service tariffs in four stages until 2029. The total increase will be about 35%.
