A 20-year-old tourist from the Moscow region went missing in the mountains of the Sverdlovsk region.
A tourist from the Moscow region got lost on Mount Kachkanar. The girl did not register her hiking trip with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On the eve, information was received at the dispatcher of the 278th fire and rescue unit via the 112 system that a girl who went hiking alone got lost on Mount Kachkanar, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk region reported on Friday.
A search group was formed, which included employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police, as well as volunteers. The search was conducted by car, ATV, and on foot. The weather was unfavorable - rain, fog, and a snow cover lying in the mountains.
When the searchers reached the location that the girl had named over the phone, she was not there. Attempts to shout for her yielded no results.
Fortunately, the tourist was able to call the Unified Dispatching Service and provide new coordinates. The group immediately set off for the new location. Late in the evening, in the dark and fog, the 20-year-old tourist was found.
The search and rescue operation was successfully completed.
