Russian Railways is mass-selling real estate in the Sverdlovsk region.
"Russian Railways" has put 32 properties in the Sverdlovsk region up for sale, while other properties are being offered for rent. This information was published on the company's official website in the "RZD Real Estate" section. Among the offers are apartments, non-residential premises, land plots, and a water tower.
For example, at the Oshipkovo station, a non-residential building is being sold for 3.9 million rubles. There are also lots related to former service apartments. They are being sold in Verkhnyaya Tura, Tavda, Kushva, Verkhnyaya Tura, the villages of Iset and Beloyarsk, and the village of Krylovo.
Among the non-residential premises are offices, garages, land plots, an office, a warehouse, and other properties. There is even a brick water tower in Bogdanovich, which the owner is offering to lease.
— Our main activity is transportation, and if a property is not being used, it is considered non-core and goes up for sale or rent. For example, if housing sits idle for a long time, we pay taxes and utility bills for it—why? It is more reasonable for the company to sell it, one of the employees told the Ura.Ru agency.
Recall that in March it became known that mass layoffs at RZD reached the Sverdlovsk region.
