Bars in Yekaterinburg have prepared an alcohol menu ahead of the library congress.
Bars and restaurants in Yekaterinburg have prepared special menus for the All-Russian Library Congress, which is taking place in the city with the participation of more than 1,300 industry specialists from Russia and other countries. The establishments presented themed dishes and cocktails inspired by famous literary works. Reports "Signal Ural."
Thus, the bar "Two Grandfathers" included in its menu an alcohol set "Harmful Advice," created based on the eponymous book by Grigory Oster. At the bar "Samotsvet," visitors are offered three cocktails referencing Mikhail Elizarov's novel "The Librarian."
The authors of the drinks explained that the inspiration for the concept came from the plot of the book, in which the Soviet writer Gromov created seven works: six of them endowed readers with superpowers, while the seventh book was considered lost and became the object of the heroes' search.
Thematic items also appeared in the NSB menu. Among them are the cocktail "Some Balobanovshchina," "Red Spritz" with "a slight bitterness of Vtorchermet," and the creamy shot "Tales of Cat-Murlyka."
The full list of participating establishments and the list of special offers have been published on the Bibliophorum website.
Against the backdrop of the congress, restrictions on the sale of alcohol are also being introduced in the center of Yekaterinburg. Retail sale of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited near the forum venues from 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM on May 19 and from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM on May 20 and 21. The restrictions will affect the area near the "Kosmos" CCC and the Literary Quarter.
