In Yekaterinburg, a sentence was handed down to a man who kidnapped a 15-year-old girl from her father's car.
The verdict in the high-profile case of the abduction of a teenage girl on Kuybyshev Street was delivered by the Oktyabrsky District Court of Yekaterinburg.
The court established that on February 14, 2025, the accused, local resident Oleg Kuklin, while in an intoxicated state, noticed a girl sitting in a parked car in the parking lot near the house at Kuybyshev Street, 147. The man opened the door, and when the girl got out, he grabbed her by the hand and took her towards the bus stop.
"He led the minor through the streets and then brought her to his home. The man could not explain the motive for his actions. His wife refused to let the minor into their apartment. As a result, the girl had to spend the night in the entrance. The next morning, she independently went to a pharmacy, where she received assistance," the press service of the Sverdlovsk region courts reports.
In court, Oleg Kuklin did not admit guilt.
The defendant was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph "d" of part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abduction of a person committed against a knowingly minor") and was sentenced to 6 years in a strict regime colony.
The court also ordered the defendant to pay 160,000 rubles to the victim as compensation for moral damages.
The verdict may be appealed in accordance with the law within the established time frame.
It was previously reported that a criminal case was initiated under two articles. The second was article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abandonment in danger).
