In Yekaterinburg, about 160,000 residents participated in the voting for the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" (FCGE). This is just slightly more than half of the votes needed (290,000) for the municipality to receive federal funds, reports 66.RU.
Against this backdrop, the city administration decided to transfer the oversight of the FCGE voting to Vice Mayor Marina Fadeeva.
When Fadeeva was responsible for this process, Yekaterinburg not only consistently received funds for the reconstruction of parks but also ranked among the leaders in voting, the publication claims.
As a source told 66.RU, the previous curators "essentially withdrew" from this work.
Voting will continue until June 12. At the moment, the leading option among all proposed is the embankment of the Iset River (the section from Dekabristov to Belinsky).
