Vandals marked their presence at the Demidov Museum-Factory in Nizhny Tagil.
In Nizhny Tagil, unknown individuals vandalized the "Kauper" air heating towers, which are part of the Old Demidov Factory complex and have the status of a cultural heritage site, reports v-tagile.ru.
The museum-reserve "Gornozavodskoy Ural" reported the act of vandalism through local social networks. The management of the institution reminded that causing damage to such sites entails administrative and criminal liability.
"Please remember that the Old Demidov Factory is the heritage of the Middle Urals," the museum staff appealed to the Ural residents.
Earlier, film crews from two federal TV channels visited Nizhny Tagil, preparing tourist TV programs about the Ural city. The guests also visited the complex of historical buildings.
In the comments to the news on the portal, readers of v-tagile.ru lamented that vandalism has swept across all of Nizhny Tagil, and the Old Demidov Factory resembles a rusty "abandoned place" rather than a cultural heritage site.
