It became known when an important exit to the EKAD from Akademicheskiy will be built.
The authorities of Yekaterinburg have approved plans for the construction of two new roads in the Akademichesky district. This involves the continuation of Akademika Parina Street and the completion of the construction of a section of Amundsen Street up to the YEKAD.
As reported by "Signal Ural," the road on Akademika Parina Street will be built on the section from Chkalova to Amundsen. The new highway will run along the under-construction residential quarters and the Patruzhikha River. It is expected to reduce the load on Akademika Sakharova Street.
The municipal contract for construction is set for five years. Its cost will exceed 1.16 billion rubles. In 2026 and 2027, the contractor is expected to spend less than 50 million rubles—likely for design work. The main volume of funding, from 300 to 400 million rubles annually, is planned for 2028-2030.
Another project concerns the final stage of the construction of Amundsen Street—from Akademika Sakharova to the Yekaterinburg Ring Road. After the completion of the work, residents of Akademichesky will have a direct exit to the YEKAD. It is expected that this will help alleviate traffic flow towards the city center along Amundsen and Wilhelm de Genin Streets.
Information about the project was confirmed to the media by the first deputy mayor of Yekaterinburg, Rustam Galyamov.
