In the Sverdlovsk region, the rules for providing social payments to medical workers have been changed, which will allow for the preservation of support measures for specialists working in institutions undergoing reorganization.
The changes will affect five major medical organizations in the region: Alapaevsk City Hospital, Alapaevsk Central District Hospital, Ivdel Central District Hospital, Gornouralsk District Polyclinic, and Achit Central District Hospital. Currently, there are 11 specialists working in these institutions who previously received social payments for improving their housing conditions but have not yet completed the mandatory five-year work period.
Previously, when changing the legal entity, medical workers were required to return the funds received to the regional budget. This requirement has now been canceled. Specialists will retain the right to support provided they continue to work in their previous position for at least five years.
According to regional authorities, the social support program for medical workers has been in effect in the Sverdlovsk region since 2018. During this time, 264 medical workers have improved their housing conditions, including 143 doctors and 121 mid-level medical staff.
