Starting June 10, the Sverdlovsk region will begin issuing state registration plates with a new regional code - "166". This was reported by the regional traffic police.
The new code will replace the series "196", the resource of which is almost exhausted. At the same time, owners of already registered vehicles will not need to change their numbers - previously issued plates will remain valid.
As explained by the agency, the introduction of the new code is a planned measure necessary for the uninterrupted registration of vehicles in the region.
Numbers with the code "166" will only be issued to owners of vehicles that are being registered for the first time.
Recall that the series with the code "196" began to be used in the Sverdlovsk region in 2013.
