According to "Channel 4," the freelancer found the job online. She received a reward of 80 rubles for each photograph, after which she sent the taken pictures to her curator. The girl's suspicious activity was noticed at one of the cemeteries in the Ural capital.
As reported by the FSB of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, Ukrainian special services and related structures may use such materials to further involve performers in terrorist-related crimes. Additionally, according to the agency, employees of foreign call centers use photographs of burials in fraudulent schemes against the relatives of deceased servicemen. In particular, the criminals create deepfakes using the images and convince relatives that their loved ones are allegedly alive and in captivity, after which they demand money for their "release."
