In Yekaterinburg, Andrey Razin's apartment was robbed.
In Yekaterinburg, the apartment of the head coach of Magnitogorsk HC "Metallurg," Andrey Razin, was robbed; for this, they intimidated his 16-year-old son, reports the EAN agency.
The incident was described by the coach's wife, Tatyana Razina, on her Instagram page (*the social network belongs to the American platform Meta, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned*).
The robbery of the Razin family's home occurred on June 20. Under pressure and threats from the criminals, the couple's son, a 16-year-old teenager, handed the keys to the apartment to an unknown person, EAN reports.
According to Tatyana Razina, the criminals hacked the boy's account on "Gosuslugi." After that, the scammers began calling him, posing as law enforcement officers.
Allegedly, a power of attorney was issued in his name to an outsider connected to Ukraine, and therefore the teenager could become a suspect in a case of aiding terrorism. At the same time, the callers, citing the secrecy of the investigation, forbade him from telling anything to his parents.
"They said, 'Your dad will lose his job altogether, you won't be able to apply anywhere after this,' and so on. They pressured him and forced him to hand over the keys to the apartment in order to somehow scan the safe. They threatened that if he didn't do this, within 72 hours, they would break into the apartment, and then the family would definitely be under suspicion, and all of this would turn into a criminal investigation," Tatyana Razina recounted on social media.
After the incident, the Razin family immediately contacted the police. An investigative operational group arrived at the scene. Officers collected fingerprints from the apartment and reviewed footage from surveillance cameras.
The crime was solved in less than a day thanks to the actions of the teenager himself. He saved screenshots of the correspondence, numbers of incoming calls, and also photographed the car and license plates of the courier through whom he handed over the keys.
This information allowed law enforcement to quickly detain the intermediary. During the interrogation, the man claimed that he himself had become a victim of the scammers. He was convinced that he was carrying out the orders of a real investigator.
"This morning, they detained the person who took the safe. From the cameras, we immediately realized that this person is not a robber; he is also a victim of the scammers. He was misled and intimidated," confirmed Tatyana Razina.
The coach of "Metallurg," Andrey Razin, thanked the police officers of Yekaterinburg for their promptness and professionalism.
In March, an apartment of a businesswoman was robbed in Yekaterinburg on Shaumyan Street. The thieves were let in by the 21-year-old brother of the owner, whom the scammers deceived over the phone.
