The Krasnouralsk City Court today, June 26, sentenced two young men who attacked a famous Soviet actor.
The guilty verdict was announced against local residents Artem Valeev, born in 2007, and Gleb Derbenev, born in 2004. Both were found guilty of attacking the honored artist Vyacheslav Voskresensky, known for his leading role in the cult Soviet film fairy tale "Finist - the Clear Falcon" (1975), the press service of the Sverdlovsk region courts reported on Friday.
The crime was committed on the evening of October 13, 2025. They were caught in Yekaterinburg shortly after the incident, where they began to spend the stolen money.
The crime, classified as robbery by a group of individuals in conspiracy with illegal entry into a dwelling (part 3 of article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), was committed with the intent to steal property and was accompanied by a threat of violence dangerous to life and health.
In addition, one of the defendants, Valeev, was charged with several other criminal episodes, including two thefts (part 1 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), two instances of petty theft (article 158.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and one robbery (part 1 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
During the court session, the defendants partially admitted their guilt, reported the Sverdlovsk region prosecutor's office.
The Krasnouralsk City Court sentenced Gleb Derbenev to 8.5 years in a strict regime colony, and Artem Valeev to 7 years and 8 months in a strict regime colony.
In favor of the victim, the defendants were jointly ordered to pay material damages caused by the crime, amounting to over 105,000 rubles - the amount the elderly actor was forced to give to the intruding young men.
Notably, according to "KP-Yekaterinburg," the robbers who attacked the actor referred to the victim by his role in the fairy tale - Finist. Thus, the outcasts knew they were attacking a star of Soviet cinema.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed within the time frame established by law.
