According to preliminary data, a 35-year-old driver of a Kia Rio, a resident of Tyumen, while returning from a vacation near Lake Uvildy, for an unknown reason entered the oncoming lane, where he collided with a KamAZ truck driven by a 48-year-old driver from the Lipetsk region, who was moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of the accident, an eight-year-old passenger of the car, who was in the impact zone, died at the scene from her injuries. The driver of the Kia Rio, the father of the deceased girl, was hospitalized.
The child's mother was in another car following behind at the time of the accident and is currently in a state of shock. The truck driver was not injured.
The circumstances of the traffic accident, including the conditions of transporting the child, are being established as part of the investigation.
