The missing resident of Sverdlovsk was found in a swamp.
In the Sverdlovsk region, a 73-year-old woman suffering from dementia, who went missing in the village of Beloyarsky, was found alive after three days. The pensioner had become stuck in a swamp and was unable to get out on her own. This was reported by volunteers from the search and rescue team "LisaAlert."
The woman disappeared on June 23, after leaving her home. She was last seen at a local store. After that, her relatives sought help from the police and volunteers, and also participated in the search themselves.
The search operation involved police officers from Zarechny and more than 30 volunteers. Over two days, they surveyed the area, interviewed witnesses, and reviewed footage from surveillance cameras. Canine units from the police and the "LisaAlert" team played an important role, managing to determine the possible location where the missing woman might have spent the night.
On the third day of the search, information about the possible whereabouts of the pensioner came in. It turned out that she had wandered beyond the village, moving along the river through a field and had fallen into a marshy area.
A local fisherman discovered the woman. Knowing about the search, he immediately reported the find to emergency services at 112 and to the "LisaAlert" hotline.
According to the volunteers, the pensioner was stuck in the mire so deeply that the assistance of emergency services was required for her rescue. After the woman was pulled from the swamp, she was handed over to medical personnel.
