In the village of Bobrovsky in the Sysert municipal district, electoral precinct No. 850 has been named after Sergey Mesilov, who died while carrying out tasks in the special military operation zone. The decision was made with the support of the municipal administration and the Electoral Commission of the Sverdlovsk region.
The opening ceremony of the named precinct took place with the participation of the serviceman's relatives. As noted by the regional electoral commission, the precinct will not only serve as a polling place but also as a symbol of remembrance for a fellow countryman, who is considered an example of courage and dedication to his duty.
Before being sent to serve, Sergey Mesilov worked for many years in the electoral commission system. He was a member of electoral precinct No. 850 and had been its head since 2018. In the fall of 2024, he voluntarily went to the SVO zone, where he served as a platoon commander and later as a company commander. He died while carrying out a combat mission that same year.
After her son's death, his mother, Tatyana Mesilova, continued to work in the precinct electoral commission and still participates in organizing elections.
