“Emergency recovery operations in the Nizhneserginsky District and the village of Bilimbay are ongoing,” the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region reported.
On the evening of June 29, due to heavy rain, the water level in the river (the Serga River flows through the settlement - note from Uralweb.ru) and its tributaries in the Nizhneserginsky District and the Patruzhikha River in Pervouralsk rose.
In Nizhnie Sergi, the pedestrian bridge on Zhukov Street was destroyed by water. “Due to the washing away of the shoreline, the Zastavka River overflowed, flooding 50 residential houses where 120 people live,” the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
