"Ural Airlines" will purchase new Russian aircraft.
The airline "Ural Airlines" is considering the possibility of purchasing the first batch of the latest Russian medium-haul aircraft MS-21. At the first stage, the carrier plans to acquire ten aircraft. This was announced by the company's CEO Kirill Skuratov in an interview with "Signal Ural" at the international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM" in Yekaterinburg.
According to Skuratov, the parties are currently at the stage of preparing firm contracts. Initially, the airline intends to replenish its fleet with ten MS-21 aircraft, after which it will evaluate further proposals from the manufacturer and possible modifications of the aircraft.
At the same time, the transition to domestic aviation technology does not mean a refusal to use already operated foreign aircraft. Ural Airlines stated that they will continue to use Airbus aircraft, which currently make up the core of the company's fleet, until their operational resources are fully exhausted.
