A resident of Yekaterinburg, Alya, appealed to the city administration with a proposal to rectify the situation with the disproportionately narrow waiting area at the tram terminus "Vtorchermet" compared to the sidewalks. She shared her remark in the public group "Evil Yekaterinburg."
As Alya explained, the design of the stop does not protect from the wind in bad weather, and in summer, it does not shield from the heat, as the canopy is too narrow. During the off-season, splashes during rain and dirt from passing vehicles fly directly onto people waiting for the tram.
But this, according to the Yekaterinburg resident, is not all the shortcomings of this stop. Its width does not exceed one meter, Alya points out. People are forced to stand closely together and near the roadway, which creates uncomfortable and even dangerous conditions.
"Especially cynical against this backdrop is the repair of the sidewalk and curbs on the opposite side of the street, where the space for pedestrians is being expanded," writes the user of "Evil." In her opinion, there is a clear disproportion.
"We ask that measures be taken as soon as possible to repair and modernize this stop complex to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents of the area," Alya appeals to the authorities of Yekaterinburg.
