Residents of Sverdlovsk are invited to BARS-MOG to protect the region's skies from Ukrainian drones.

      In the Sverdlovsk region, volunteers are invited to serve in BARS-MOG to protect the region's facilities from Ukrainian UAVs. This was reported on Tuesday by the EAN agency. The military enlistment office informed the publication about the requirements for those wishing to become defenders and the conditions of service.

      BARS-MOG is the "combat army reserve of the country - mobile fire groups." Volunteers are being recruited to protect critically important infrastructure and life support facilities in the Sverdlovsk region. Deployments to the special military operation zone are not planned, the military enlistment office clarified.

      Volunteers first undergo a two-week training and coordination period at the training ground. There, they are provided with uniforms. After that, they go to a 45-day gathering for the protection of facilities.

      "During the gathering period, a person receives military status, and the gathering is included in the overall work experience. During the gathering, the employer is obliged to keep the person's job and pay them a salary, usually the average monthly salary. During the gathering, the volunteer will be provided with accommodation at the protected facility, three meals a day, complete medical examination, life insurance, free provision of medications, and free transportation from the military enlistment office to the gathering location and back," the military enlistment office reported.

      After the gathering ends, that is, after 45 days, the citizen returns home to their normal life. They are free to go to another gathering after resting or may choose to decline, at their discretion.

      "We invite all those willing aged up to 57 years. There are health restrictions, so we do not accept people with category 'D' - unfit for military service. People with other categories - with partial and temporary restrictions - are suitable for service in the MOG, as they will not be performing full military service," the military enlistment office added.

      Monetary payments for participation in the gatherings:

      private - from 21,496 to 29,376 rubles;

      sergeant - from 27,944 to 34,391 rubles;

      officer - from 43,701 to 56,599 rubles.

      Those wishing to enlist as volunteers in BARS-MOG can contact the military enlistment office at their place of residence.
