In Revda, a 56-year-old local resident transferred 60,000 rubles to an unknown person who introduced himself as a "k-pop" artist from South Korea. This was reported by "Ъ-Ural" with reference to the city's police.
A message on TikTok from an account allegedly belonging to a famous Korean musician and dancer was sent to a female employee of a medical institution in Revda on June 19.
According to the victim, the "singer" offered to communicate, to which she gladly agreed. Later, at his initiative, the communication moved to a messenger and continued for several days.
Soon, the "Korean" claimed he wanted to send the Revda resident an expensive gift by mail, but for that, she needed to pay a customs fee. The woman transferred 30,000 rubles to the number provided by the unknown person.
Later, she also had to pay for "courier delivery" for a similar amount. However, she did not receive the promised gift.
Then the "singer" asked for another 100,000 rubles for another service, but by that time the woman began to realize that she was being deceived and contacted the police. A criminal case has been initiated.
