It became known when new sections of the pedestrian embankment will open in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, the creation of a unified 42-kilometer pedestrian embankment continues, which will stretch from the Verkh-Isetsky to the Nizhne-Isetsky reservoir. The first new routes are planned to open as early as November.
As reported by Mayor Alexey Orlov, the project includes the construction of a 33-meter pedestrian bridge over the Iset River and an 87-meter tunnel under Kuybyshev Street.
The monolithic structures of the tunnel have already been installed. Work on the arrangement of road and tram traffic on Kuybyshev Street has been completed ahead of schedule. Specialists are currently finishing the tunnel with tiles and preparing the area for the improvement of sidewalks and stairways.
In the future, the 42-kilometer embankment is expected to connect several recreational spaces with different landscaping concepts.
