Yekaterinburg is preparing to expand its bus fleet by 50 vehicles. The city administration has announced a tender for the supply of large-class buses on lease. The initial contract value is 1.43 billion rubles, and the city plans to pay for the vehicles over five years.
All buses are to be manufactured in 2026. According to the procurement conditions, the vehicles must be low-floor and run on methane, as well as be suitable for transporting passengers with reduced mobility. Additionally, the cabins will have separate heating and air conditioning systems for the driver and passengers, as well as charging stations for gadgets.
The results of the bidding are expected to be announced on September 11, and all vehicles should be delivered by the beginning of November.
