The number of workers and students from India has increased in the Sverdlovsk region.
The Consul General of India in Yekaterinburg, Debabrata Chattopadhyay, stated that the number of labor migrants and students from India coming to the Sverdlovsk region continues to grow.
— If we talk about workers, their numbers are increasing. Recently, we met with representatives of Russian Railways, and they mentioned that about 400 employees from India are working at their enterprises (in the Sverdlovsk region and Perm Krai), — the consul general is quoted by Ura.Ru.
According to him, the consulate representatives coordinated the work between Indian recruitment agencies and Sverdlovsk representatives of enterprises and businesses.
— The only issue is the regulators on the Russian side regarding labor migration. We comply with all the requirements set forth by labor legislation, — the consul noted.
He emphasized that the direct air service, which will start in October between Yekaterinburg and Delhi, will allow for an increase in the flow of labor and students. It was previously reported that the number of Indian workers in the Sverdlovsk region is four times higher than in other regions.
